An important activity for proper management of water resources in agricultural crops is the determination of the water retention tension in the soil. This allows us to know the field capacity parameters and the permanent wilting point. IAB students make these measurements through the use of tensiometers that are placed at various depths in the soil within the growing area.

Within the Experimental Agricultural Farm (GEA) located within the same Prosperina campus, IAB students carry out activities related to poultry farming under the intensive and semi-intensive production system. The students are responsible for taking charge of the care of the birds from their cultivation to the slaughter and commercialization of the meat.
Nutrition and Dietetics students apply their knowledge in nutritional care processes, allowing clinical assessments of healthy or hospitalized patients in service centers of the public and private health network. During these practical sessions, students develop skills and abilities focused on activities such as: anthropometric assessment, study of clinical cases, application of techniques based on specialized diet therapy, nutritional education, among other components that allow providing a complete nutritional approach.
