Students carry out activities such as collaboration in population projects about the influence of nutritional habits on health, participation in the creation and implementation of public policies that improve the health of the population, participation in research projects aimed at generating epidemiological information regarding to the nutritional situation of the country, nutraceutical properties of autochthonous foods of the region and evaluation of the effectiveness of nutritional strategies in common pathological conditions.
Nutrition and Dietetics students have the opportunity to develop skills in various application fields of the program. In the field of Sports Nutrition, there is an opportunity to apply the process of nutritional care in athletes through nutritional advice, evaluation and monitoring in order to enhance the performance and physical condition of the patient and provide specialized care together with a multidisciplinary team.
